ABOUT THE CHURCHESS OF GOD

This is how Jesus feels about the big and small churches: "
  1. (1-6) Here Christ admonishes the Church at Sardis that they aren't walking right before the Lord. In fact they "have a name that they live, but are dead." It would appear that either many unbelievers were involved here or that the church had taken up a worldly stance..."there is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Folks, it is sad to say that many churches claim to be doing God's work, but rather than following the biblical mandate to preach the gospel and win souls, they are watering down the word and giving lost people anything they want in order to provide entertainment or psychological coddling to get them to come to church! Entertainment is not the job of the church! We have a job to do - a great commission to fulfill and we can't do that our way. It must be done God's way or it is dead!

  2. The warning, again, is to repent or turn from the identified wrong-doing to right-doing...in other words, obeying the Lord's commands regarding the work and our conduct before man and God.

  3. (7-13) Here we find Encouragement and praise from the Lord to the Church at Philidelphia. This is one of two (Smyrna) churches that receives no rebuke from the Lord. Oh how we need to be like this Church today! This church had little strength in appearance, but they held fast to God's word and to his name! Folks, its not about big buildings and campuses and all of the glitz and glam we see taking place in churches today...it is about holding fast to God's Word and to His Name, period!!
Finally we find Christ's admonishment to the lukewarm Church at Laodicea. This church appears to have it all...but their spiritual condition is completely opposite of the appearance! They appear rich and increased with goods, having need of nothing...but nothing could be further from the truth. Before the Lord, they are poor, blind, wretched , miserable and naked! WOW! How often we think things are going well in a church...I wonder how surprised we would be if we understood how Jesus sees our condition?!
  • There is a startling example shown here: Christ on the outside of the Church knocking for admittance. There are many churches that are so far away from scriptural service unto the Lord that he's not even in it at all!! From Revelation 3 we depart the here and now of the Church Age to journey into "things which shall be hereafter," or the future! Stay with us as we'll soon find ourselves surveying God upon the throne in Heaven and then the opening of the Tribulation period!

    LEARN HOW WITCHCRAFT ORIGINATED

IS CALLED THE CLASSICAL WITCHCRAFT.  WHICH DISCRIBED AS THE EARLY NORTIC WHICH IN

CLUDED THE GOMANIC LANGUAGES, DUCH, ICELANDIC, DANISH, AND NORWEGAIAN PEOPLE.

    THERE IS ALSO GOTHIC WI

    Philosophy Unknown

A course of adventure in search of one facet of the diamond

      The New Wave

WITCHCRAFT COMES IN ALL FORMS, SHAPES, CULTURES AND RELIGIONS.   This is just an example of a picture I got from the web.

                                                                                                                                                                                     WHAT IS WITCHCRAFT?

WITCHCRAFT IS KNOWN TO BE BAD, BECAUSE IT’S EVILIOU AND DANGEROUS TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN IT.  WITCHCRAFT ACCORDING TO THE STARWISE SOCIETY OF WITCHCRAFT IS TO CAST SPELLS ON PEOPLE, IT BRINGS BAD LUCK AND IT CAN KILL SOMEONE IF THEY ARE AFRAID OF IT.

WITCHCRAFT IS A SPIRITUAL PRACTICE; IT’S THE WAY OF LIFE IN MANY CULTURES.  IT SETS THE FOUNDATION OF BELIEF.  WITCHCRAFT IS NOT NEW IT WAS USED IN THE DAY’S OF KING SOLOMON; IT WAS NAMED AS GRIOMOIRE, GRIOMOIRE IS A BOOK OF SECRET MAGIC OF ABRA-MELIN THE MAGIC WITCH. THE BOOK WAS PUBLISHED IN THE 1900S.  WITCH CRAFT HAS MANY NAMES ACCORDING TO RELIGIONS AND CULTURE.  IN SOME CULTURE SUCH AS AMERICA VOODOO, IN THE CARIBBEAN, IT IS CALLED OBIA.  IN PART OF THE EUROPEAN’S NATION IT

SAXONWITCH, WHICH INCLUDES ORUID, IRISH, SCOTTISH AND ENGLAND ETC.  WHERE A MY HEADING FROM HERE? I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT WITCHCRAFT IS LIVE AND WELL.  SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE IN IT, SOME PEOPLE DON’T.  I BELIEVE THAT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE AWARE OF WITCHCRAFT HAVE MORE POWER OVER IT THAN THE PEOPLE WHO ARE BLIND TO.

THE BIBLE HAS SCRIPTURE REFERENCES ABOUT WITCHCRAFT.  PAUL THE APOSTLE WROTE IN 2 CORINTIANS 10: 4-5, “ FOR THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL, BUT MIGHTY THROUGH GOD TO PULLING DOEN OF STRONGHOLD; CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS, AND EVERY HIGH THINGS  THAT EXALTETH ITSELF AGAINST KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, AND BRING INTO CAPICITY EVERY THOUGHT TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST.” 2 CORINTHIAN 10: 4-5.

GOD HAS GIVEN EVERYONE THE A SPIRITUAL WEAPON TO DESTROYS WITCHCRAFT.  WHAT IS THE WEAPON? THE WORD OF GOD, FASTING AND PRAYER, THE POWER OF PRAYER CAN DESTROY WITCHCRAFT IN THE BLINK OF YOUR EYES.    ONLY BELIEVE THAT ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD.

WALKING ON THE STREET IN EVERY CORNER OF THE WORLD, YOU WILL SEE PEOPLE THAT ARE MESSED UP BY WITCHCRAFT.  THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR MIND’S HAVING KNOWN ONE TO PRAY FOR THEM IS TO HELP THEM IN OTHER WAYS.

WHAT TRIGGERED OFF WITCHCRAFT MOST OF THE TIME IS ENVY.  WHEN SOME PEOPLE SEE YOU ACCOMPLISHING WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO ACCOMPLISH AND THEY CANNOT REACH YOUR STANDARD OF LIVING, THEY BECOMES JELOUS AND CRUEL. SO THEY GO TO THESE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN PERFORM WITCHCRAFT AND THEY SPEND THEIR MONEY TO THE WITCHCRAFT DOCTOR TO HURT THE INNOCENT PERSON.

WHAT I SAY TO THOSE ENVIOUS BRUTES, AWAY WITH YOU AND YOUR WITCHCRAFT.  NO ONE IS GREATER AND BIGGER THAN GOD.  WHAT YOU MUST BEAR IN MIND IS THIS, GOD CREATED EVERYTHING, EVEN THE WITCHCRAFT DOCTOR; SO HOW THE POWER OF WITCHCRAFT CANS OVERCOMES PRAYER.

I REMEMBER A MAN IN MY DISTRICT IN ONE OF THE CARIBBEAN ISLAND, HE WAS A HATEFUL MAN; HE CAST SPELLS ON A LOT OF INNOCENT FAMILY.   IF HE KNOWS THAT THERE WERE CHILDREN IN THAT DISTRICT THAT WERE BRIGHT IN SCHOOLS, HE WOULD GET THEM CRAZY WITH WITCHCRAFT.  IN THAT CASE THOSE CHILDREN WOULD HAVE TO STOP FROM ATTENDING CLASSES.   BEING THAT HE WAS SO STRONG, THERE WERE STRONG SPIRITUAL PEOPLE SUCH AS MY MOTHER WHO PRAY THAT GOD SHOULD REMOVE HIM OUT OF THE DISTRICT; AND GOD TOOK HIM HOME.

IN THIS WORLD THAT WE ARE NOW LIVING, WE AS PEOPLE TO OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD NOT PRACTICE WITCHCRAFT TO HURT INNICENT PEOPLE OR ANYONE.  WE SHOULD LIVE IN THE FEAR OF GOD KNOWING THAT GOD WILL FIGHT OUR BATTLE FOR US IF WE TRUST AND OBEY HIS LAWS.

    PRAY:

GOD OF THE UNIVERSE, TEACH ME HOW TO LOVE MY NEIGHBORS AND OTHERS THAT I CONSIDERED TO BE MY ENEMIES.  FATHER, PROTECT MY FAMILY, MY ENVIRONMENT AND MYSELF FROM ALL DARKNES AND EVIL POWER OF WITCHCRAFT.  BRODEN MY MIND TO UNDERSTANDS YOUR LOVE FOR ME AND OTHERS.  LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, BLESS ME AND KEEP YOUR EYES ON ME FOR PROTECTION AGAINS EVIL. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

THE THING WITH EVIL, THEY ARE NOT VISIBLE, THEY PLAYS WITH THE MIND.  SO BECAUSE OF THAT, THERE ALWAYS A WAR GOING ON IN YOUR SPIRIT.   GOD HAD FOREWARNED US ABOUT THESE THINGS.  PAUL THE APOSTLE WAS INSPIRED BY GOD TO WRITE, “ FOR WE ARE NOT WRESTLING AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT WE AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AND AGAINST POWERS,  AND AGAINST THE RULERS OF DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES.”  EPHESIANS 6:12 KJV

IN ACTS CHAPTER 19”12 RSV PAUL PRAYED FOR MONTHS , AND WORKS MIRACLES BY ALLOWING THE SICK TO WEAR APRONS, AND USING HANDACHIEVE THAT WERE BLESSED TO DESTROYED DISEASES AND CURED THE SICK.   GOD CAN USE YOU MY FRIEND TO HELP THOSE WHO ARE BURDENED DOWN WITH WITCHCRAFT.  GOD HAS GIVEN YOU AND ME THE HOLY GHOST POWER TO KICK WITCHCRAFT OUT OF THE TROUBLE SOULS.

AS YOU READ FURTHER ON IN THIS BOOK YOU WILL ACKNOWLEDGE PSALMS AND VERSES THAT I WILL LAID OUT FOR YOU TO FIGHT AGAINST WITCHCRAFT OR ANY OTHER ALIENS THAT WANTS TO ATTACT YOU AND YOU’RE FAMILY.  IN EVERYTHING PLEASE REMEMBER THAT GOD DOESN’T MAKE MISTAKES.  HE HAS PROMISED TO US PROTECTIONS, AND HE WILL PROTECT US FROM ALL EVIL.  PSALMS 23.   REMEMBER, THE POWER OF PRAYER DESTROYS WITCHCRAFT.

    TERM PAPER 2010

                                                                    Language and Literature

    November 17, 2010

This paper is about the usages of language and authors.

In today’s society, we study language and literature.  This is considered the foremost to a poet and novelist. Language is considered a decorative art that fits into one’s culture; we will take the time to analyze the ways in which Charles Bowden and Kirk Nesset use language in their novels. They are entitled Blue Desert and Paradise Road.  Both authors use the same type of language to pull their readers into a world of remembrance.  Bowden and Nesset will acenamate Kimiko Hahn’s language as we journey through her poems from the book of poem she wrote Toxic Flora

Bowden and Nesset are known to be two of America’s best writers according to reviewers from California Magazine, the Southern Review, and the Kenyon Review.  When I opened Bowden’s book, the main thing that caught my eye in his use of language, He uses it eloquently as he takes his readers on a journey in the desert of Mexico to get an understanding of thousands of bats that flocks the Arizona desert. He says, “I know my job the cave is near Clifton and Mexico, two eastern Arizona mining towns of the forest, the wilderness country stretching northward toward the “Blue River”. In the only1960s, millions of bats lived in the colony (12).. The colony Bowden is referring to is with the bats; metaphorically, he is talking about the many acres of land that people never lives on, or figuring out how to till the land to make a living. In Bowden’s eyes, they are wild lands in the Arizona desert. It is very hot, dry, and too rocky and it has a lot of sand. It would be terrible for anyone to live there.

Bowden, Nesset and Hahn have in common is their common everyday language. In every culture, language is the most dominant element. We need it to communicate, verbally and bodily.  These authors uses their contemporary, use of language to captivates reader’s mind, and imagination, without using long sentences, poor structures, and long explanations. These authors used their language through the writing of their books and poems, giving the readers the opportunity to say more with evoking vivid imagery causing the reader to feel the action that is taking place, rather than just simply reading pages in the text or reciting a poem.

Nesset, surprises the readers into new perception and appreciation of language matters. Out of the old tradition of language, there comes a phase “to play on words” (answer.com). Which normally offers to most basic styles in writing that is able to walk right into the spirit and the heart of the readers. He uses his intelligence as a tool effectively to create a character named in the story; Paradise Road used the character Cindy to establish a scene, he complains of Cindy’s behavior, causes him to be questioning it: He asked. “So why is Cindy so mad? She said, meaning his wife. “I have not been good;” He said. “I am not nice;” “But you are good;” “you are nice;”   he met this woman on Paradise Road, walking half naked” (39) I believe that Cindy as the naked woman, represent Knesset lifestyle, been bold in his language. I seems like Nesset is not the type of person who holds problems inside. That could interpret as the half-naked woman.

Bowden, Nesset and Hahn, could only discovers themselves through their languages. I met these three authors on Brockport’s Campus, their occasions, reciting poems. Moreover, they were opened for questions and discussions. Few students had asked Hahn about her poems in her book titled Toxic Flora  “ How did see received such great influence to creates those inspiring poems as a American- Japanese? She replied.  “Actually, after studying Japanese’s culture, I have learned and love their language, it necessary to use it clearly and precise to demonstrates my idea.”  “I loved language,” she said.  Which left us to realize how important it is to use our, language effectively?  In the book of poems Toxic Flora, there is a poem that really stands out that I believe will be benefit to this paper. Titled Demeter’s Cuttings. Hahn spoke of the things she learned from her mother.  I will quote the poem”

“My mother taught me suspicion/ “

                                “To question a man’s gift, whether/ trifles or truffles/”

In this first stanza, it shows mother’s discipline and protection against other flesh; the word trifles, means root of a tree or valued as delicacy.  Her mother may experience something bad in life and she may be afraid of Hahn walking into her footsteps. Therefore, she taught her to protect herself. Trust no one.

“She also taught me the name of trees/”

    “And how to rub off/”

“The dried sheaths of silver dollars stalks-/”

“Toss the seeds back over the bed/”

“She didn’t teach me much else, and truthfully/”

“I like nature---- not to tend but to visit/”

These three stanzas carry three different meaning, first.  She taught me the names of tree, informing the readers how important nature is to her mother. The tree, also represent life; knowledge, Christ and good and evil; One might against this interpretation, (see Genesis 2).  Nevertheless, these stanzas are for learning. In line two, and how to rub off, indicates that she should stays away from people that will cause her to do the wrong thing.  Hahn stated in her poem that she likes nature, only to visit but not to work on the farm. Or stays away in the woods somewhere. The main reason why she feels like visiting the farm, she may like to see the beauty of the forest glaze.

“To watch it takes care of itself”

“Still a fist fill of snapdragons/”

The significance of the snapdragons, speaks of the maiden that inhabiting something personifying, It takes the reader back to nature, Where Hahn would hang out for a while…

Hahn‘s poem explore the relationship between she and her mother and she should not put confident in no one,

Bowden, Nesset, and Hahn are truly lovers of language.  They understand themselves writing and utilizing their languages in the hearts, of their readers. Bowden writes is very straight forward in delivering his language. In fact, I met with him on campus.  He read couple of his poem and answered few questions about Mexico and drugs, and immigration, and so on. He shows concerned about the murders and the drug trafficking in Mexico. When he was asked why the drugs is so prevalent in Mexico, he respond by using his language very eloquently in commenting on the question. He replied. “Poverty is a part of the problem; drug is the biggest part of the problem which I believe should be legalized. Question: how did you survived by escaping to America? “I moved when I am forced by my spirit, that is why I am alive.”  Bowden do not stammered when he speaks, he illustrates a special dancing rhythm in his voice and exposed it through his language for his reader to understand what he is talking about,

Bowden is in Mexico he sees plenty of land in the west he describes it” This is a Thruway canyon in Arizona, a place where United States would qualify as a national monument. But here in careless riches of the West’s wild land is regard as simple another slit thought the high country, a named on a map that few visit;  We pitched our packs under cottonwoods, and the canyon’s  far side and way back across the stream” (13). The great descriptions that Bowden takes the time to delivered, it is linked to the idea to group, using words to create an impact upon the readers in order for them to see the things that are taking place in Arizona. He framed together his five senses, he used the word we looked up and there is a a huge vault door to the cave. He inhaled the nature of the Arizona wild land. He feels, he sees, when he walks along with Ronnie, Ronnie may have been his friend. All the way through that tarried Arizona dried land, Charles Bowden uses his language to negative to an unknown destination in the West. What we notice about Bowden language, he has a fascinating tone and a voice that is very contagious to his readers. He uses a lot of actions verbs and nouns, which are essential to a reader. Take for example on page (9) these words, running shoes, climb, wilderness, and fungus.  They are brilliantly said.

Kirk Nesset whose writing and language is very similar to Bowden’s he is a descriptive writer and he uses fascinating language to send out his message to his readers.  In one of his novel, The Paradise Road there is a story that is titled the Paradise Road.  He gives a great description of a woman wearing a sweater.  Says, “She had Cindy’s big red sweatshirt on, a pair of Cindy’s white ,socks pulled to her kneecaps” (39). That is very straightforward.  His reader has no problem finding Cindy wearing these clothes.  In Nesset’s prospective, he shows himself to be a descriptive writer through his language. In fact a pulled a review from the internet, Journal Magazine, where someone review his writing and comment on his language, by saying, “ it’s a thought trick in fiction to create a self- awareness character whose language still reveals to the reader something the character doesn’t know himself.  Nesset is good at it, and it earned the Deuce Hein’s literature Prize” (Journal Magazine).

The reviewers gave Nesset a great review about his work.  It is imperative for Bowden and Nesset to have the knowledge of effective language in order to get to the hearts of their readers.  Speaking and writing. That is what Professors are looking for in lecture halls, effective language in novels and essays.

When I continue to read Bowden, Knesset’s and Hahn‘s novels, and poems, it is as if they are competing against themselves with their descriptive behavior and language. For example, we read in this story the “Bat” in “Blue Desert” which is one of the story in  Bowden’s book, he was talking about a female friend he met in Mexico , who was wearing a T-shirt advertising that she loves  bats.   In those sentences, there is Bowden’s voice and tone. Talking to this female in his’ language, “I first met her in Chircahua Mountains, she was wearing a T-shirt that proclaimed I LOVE BATS.  By then she was deep into her doctorate, a sprawling, undefined investigation held together solely by bats, thousands and thousands of bats. We talked and then there seemed nothing to do but go to the dark stone room” (11).  Here we learned that this female friend of Bowden loves bats. Now how could we know if Bowden did not know how to conducts his language and manifest it on paper.

We have Nesset walking on the same road with Bowden. He talks about a female named Cindy. we mention her because the way in which he describes her in his language is fantastic. we like when he says, “She being gone now three months. All she took was her money and her keys and the clothes she had on; she left nary a note, not even an I’ve had it you bastard, I’ll see you in court” (41).  These sentences were very precise. She left without saying where she was going. Could Nesset’s reader understand what he was talking about if he had not used descriptive language?   You see Nesset and Bowden are like two nickels in a dime that are so close; it can only buy two candy balls. Just five cent each that as close as they are when writing their descriptive languages, it is impossible to be a writer without knowing the way to a reader’s mind, readers needs to be nourishment from his writing through his language. It is like a baby sucking his mother’s breast. Language and literature is the domain for all poets and novelist. Take the time to look at all these college degrees that are coming out, because of modern writers such as Bowden, Nesset, and Hahn who sees the importance of placing their writing in the educational curriculum. They spread their ideas by using effective language to demonstrate their thoughts. They are bold and precise in their writing and it shows in their languages. (C. GOD HAS GONE TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR US

    Revelation 21

1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
    11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
    19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  revelation 21. ( read)

    POVERTY IS A FELONY

                                                      “Poverty is a Felony”

Sherman Alexei has written a story entitled “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part- Time Indian.  This story is very emotional.   It grabbed every part of my nervous system.  And I will tell you why.  Junior in this story tells his experiences with this destructive animal, poverty; it’s a blood sucking animal that sucks the ambition away from you.  The writer expressed that it will cause distress. (Page 124), of the weak.   It feeds on your strength, it causes you to feel inferior among those who called themselves superiors, poverty takes away every given rights away from you.   Some people hate to see you becoming successful.  (Page 131), Poverty will block you from obtaining an education.  Because when you desire to go to school there is no bus fair.  Junior in this story had to lie to his friends at his school Reardan that he has money, just to feel belong.  He said, “I figured it would do me no good if they knew I was dirt poor.”  Being poor separates you from mingling with friend that you really wants to mingle with.  Because the first thing they are going to ask you if you have money. If you happen to say know they know you are poor.  And everyone will know about it.  (Page 127).I looked up the word poverty on the internet, Google.com:  The definition it gives me is this, “No possession, lacking of specific resource.”   You know, the only person that can relate to poverty is the person who feels it, and live with it.  When you hungry and run to the kitchen and there is nothing to eat, oh my God, it’s not a pleasant feeling, the write of this story shows junior’s attitude when he was hungry  went to the kitchen, and finds nothing to eat other than, some saltine crackers.   He said, “All I had for dinner were saltine crackers and water.  Like I was in jail.”    I was very, very poor when I was growing up as junior in this story.  That is why I chose to write about this theme, because it’s emotional when reading it.  And it allows me to see myself Coming from the pit to the palace, the absolute truth to poverty, I called it a felony. I love this story and the way Junior described poverty. copyright© by Catherine Gray- Taylor

THE GIRL WHOSE WORLD TURNS UPSIDE DOWN

THE GIRL WHOSE WORLD TURNS UPSIDE DOWN

Paulette’s world turned upside down when her siblings’ turns against her. She found it very hard to accept their behavior against her after all the things she had done for them. Since Paulette’s parents have twelve children, broth up into a poor home. During the time of poverty, Paulette said, at ten years old she was worried about her family, because they did not have enough food to eat, proper clothing to wear, or a good home to live in.  Nevertheless her parents were Christians, who indulged themselves in prayer, hoping that one day, things will be better with their children when they grows up. This is the prayer that he parents prayed, Oh, God the Almighty  who provided a “Ram” for Abraham, when he was asked by you to give his Son Isaac as a scarifies in the land of  Mariah, as Abraham is abundantly blessed, mighty God, bless by twelve children.  Father God does not allow my children to see their bread out of desolate places, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. As the much sand at the Seashore, give blessings unto my children. In Jesus’ name” Paulette now determined that when she grows up she will ran-away from home, to find a job, provides for her poor family and later down the road, she will travel abroad and takes all her siblings so that they can get a better life to help themselves and their parents.

Paulette would talk to herself as she lied down each night to sleep, she would say, “ One day I will grow up to be a woman, and I’m going to be educated, and rich, not only that, I want to be a preacher to tell people about God. She said” So he was very serious about her predictions. At the age of eleven Paulette, began to write poems. Her first poem was, “ I am beautiful, with big brown eyes, round face like a beautiful white British girl, look at my nose and my cheekbone, well, my cheekbones are high as the Mount Harvest, and smooth like a settled Sea, my nose is stretch  like an America ‘s High-way, and I’m thin like a straw. I believe, and I certainly know, that when I become a woman, I am going to be someone special like, Catherine the great. And this is all for now, I dropped my penciled, until later date.”

Among Paulette siblings, she was different she is a blunt girl. She just has a mind of her own. She will not take no for an answer. For example, at ten years old, the church that she and her family attended, they were having an event, Paulette wanted to exercised he talent,  she felt that she have a good voice to sing , but because her family were poor,  Choir leader, would not give her the opportunity to do so. Therefore, she wrote a letter to the Pastor of the Baptist Church in Trelawney Jamaica, saying, “Dear Pastor Williams, I am eleven Years old; and I know from the bottom of my heart that God has given me a gift of singing. I meant I have a good voice to sing that can melt anyone ones heart, especially tough hearts, but there is a problem here, Ms. Brown who is the Choir’s leader withheld from giving me a chance to explored my talent. At this time Pastor Williams, I would be thankful if you could take the time, this Sunday when you come to preach at church, to hear me sing, and you would know what I am talking about. I really believed that Ms. Brown is definitely decimating against me because I am from a poor and needy family, and I believed it is wrong. I must get the same treatment as the rich men-children in this district of Trelawney. And if you as my Pastor refrain to takes away such rights from me because my parents are poor, then I will have to write a letter to the head of the Church’s committee.”

God blessed you and I am waiting to hearing from you, as soon as possible.  I remain, Paulette Gray.

Pastor Williams responded to Paulette, immediately. He stated, “Dear Ms. Gray,

I am disappointed to hear that you wanted to participated, in singing a song for our church, and was turned down. Nonetheless, I will meet with Ms .Brown before this event, and settled this problem; and I would love to hear your lovely voice, since you give me great emphasis about it.  Be blessed.  We will meet on Sunday.”  Well Pastor Williams showed up on Sunday morning, after his Sermon he called Miss Brown and Paulette and settled the matter about her not allowing Paulette to sing her song. Well after Pastor Williams spoke to Ms. Brown by asking her these questions, “   are there special people that you had in mind to sing in this event that we have coming up? She replied, “Yes, Pastor” Pastor responded,

    “Why?” She replied,

“ Because is not everyone that can sing pastor, I believed that Paulette felt that she has a gorgeous voice, but that does not gives me the right to put her on the choir. She may have a good voice yes, but I have never heard her sing.” Pastor responded,

“Have you given her the opportunity to sing?” She replied,

“No Sir.” Pastor Constance changed, as he argued with Ms. Brown about Paulette wanted to sing on the Choir. Pastor, asked Paulette to get up and sing the song that she had in mind to sing,, Paulette got up, stood politely before Pastor and Ms Brown, and she song beautifully, this song, “ It is God alone that lives, it is he who created all things, and I know he made me to be what he wanted me to be. Oh, God you made, Oh, God you made, I may not be like others, but I am sure you really made me. Some day things will be better, when men understands that this world is only for a moment, and nothing do we carry, when go out of this world. Oh, God you made me, Oh God you made me I may not be like others, but I am sure you really made…” This song touched both Pastor and Ms. Brown’s hearts they broke down in tears. Ms. Brown, apologized to Paulette, by saying, “Paulette, I am so sorry for not having you in the Choir, as of now, you are in.” She embraced Paulette, passed her palm through her hair, and said, “With this voice, I believed that someone will discover you and take you to some foreign country. Again, Paulette, I apologized. Meet us in church on Saturday’s Evening for Choir practice.” Paulette responded,

“Thank you for taking the time to listen to me sing, Ms. Brown, God blessed you.” Pastor, looked at Paulette and said,

“I am glad you sent me that letter, if not we would not know that we have such a precious person with a precious voicing wasting. Nevertheless, my child, you will be in this Choir as long as you want. Isn’t that right Ms. Brown?” She replied,

“Oh, Yes Pastor, she will.” Pastor Williams, again commended Paulette,

“Young lady, stand up for your right in all what you are now doing and what you are about to do. I am very proud of you, young lady, and I know your parents are too. I wish you all the best in this Choir practice.” Paulette, “Thank you Pastor.” They departed, to their different home.  While believed that there are many more obstacles ahead of her to overcome. She also believes that her world will always be upside down as long as she fights for justice. Copyright© by Catherine Gray- Taylor - 2011

    The Ark OF THE COVENANT

    • Ark of the Covenant: Fourth: God set apart the tribe of the Levi to carry the Ark and stand before , to serve him, and to bless his name. Only the High Priest was allowed to entered the Most Holy Place. He entered once a year on Yom Kippur, the Day of Attornment to sacrifice and to sprinkle blood on the Mercy Seat to atone for the sins of the people( Deut. 10,8 : Lev. 16, Ex 37: 6-9).
We will talk about the Ark of the Covenant next time... Be blessed.

    THE SERMON ON THE MONT

    Matthew 5

1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
    23Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
25Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer...
PLEASE READ THIS CHAPTER MATTHEW 5. THERE ARE LOTS TO LEARN. IN YOUR DAILY WALK, HAVE MERCY ON EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THE THIS PERSON.  WHEN YOU HAVE MERCY ON SOMEONE, GOD WILL HAVE MERCY ON YOU. GOD BLESS YOU.

    FEED THE POOR

I must give thanks to all Word of the Living God Prayer Light and Life Ministries, Members for the tremendous work they had done  today, waking up at 5:am, and they cooked and fed over a hundred people within twenty minutes. And there were many that left unfed. Now we see that the need of those who are inneed are growing rapidly in Rochester. By going out on the street each year and feeding the poor, homeless and needy,  I acknowledge that is what Jesus wants us to do. We ran into few young adults who came to our Church's door crying, because they have no family to dine with on thanksgiving day. It was so sad, we fed them and they were happy. Thank God for his providance toward thid occassion. " Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy" Matthew 5.  Read. In everything you do, remember the poor. GOD BLESS YOU.

    JEREMIAH'S PRAYER

SOMETIMES WE MUST PRAY FOR OTHERS: JEREMIAH PRAYED, "16Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,
17Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
18Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
19Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
    20Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;
    21And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;
22And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey; " (JEREMIAH 32, READ THE ENTIRE SCRIPTURE, YOU WILL LOVE IT).

SEVEN DAYS FASTING- WORD OF THE LIVING GOD PRAYER MINISTRIES

WE BEGUN OUR SEVEN DAYS FASTING ON NOVEMBER 21, 2011 AND WE WOULD BE THANKFUL IF YOU COULD JOIN US IN THIS HOLY FASTING. WE ARE PRAYING FOR OUR CHILDREN TO BE SAFE ON THE STREETS, FAMILY PROBLEMS, FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH, AND THOSE WHO ARE IN CAPTIVITIES.

DON'T YOU KNOW WE SERVE A GREAT BIG WONDERFUL GOD, WHO WATCHES OVER US? HE DID NOT, WE ALL WOULD BE DEAD BY THE HANDS OF SATAN. AS WE ALL KNOW, ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE, SATAN'S AMBITION IS TO, ROB, STEAL. DESTROYS AND KILL. BUT, GOD WHO IS ALL POWERFUL AND KIND TO MANKIND, HAVE HIS RIGHT HAND STREGTHING OVER US TO PROTECT US ALWAYS FROM SATAN. THE WORD OF GOD SAID,
"Their are examples of his arm which was a symbol of his power. the arm was used as the agency of strength, when the Bible refers the arm of the Lord it is consistently about the son, as God reaches into the Earth to do his work. Ex.6:6 the Lord redeemed Israel "with an outstretched arm." Isa.53:1 " to who has the arm of the Lord been revealed." Isa.63:5 "therefore my own arm brought salvation for me. Also in like manner his hand is used to most often symbolize an activity of service.

Isa.48:13 'speaks of his hand laying the foundation of the Earth, and my right hand spanned the heavens..." Isa.62:8 " the Lord has sworn by his right hand, and by his arm of strength." Isa. 59:1" the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save."

We also have numerous scriptures combining both the arm and hand. Duet. 26:8 " so the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm." ( also Duet.5:15, 7:19, 11:2; Ps.44:3; Jer. 32:21; Ez. 20:33) We need to distinguish when anthropormorphic or symbolic terms are used and when they are not.

The term at the right hand of God points to his exalted position he now is active on. There is numerous things that need to be considered to understand this phrase. The phrase right hand is a metaphor, God exercises his authority by his right hand.  SOURCE:
